A revelation that Tesla made at its most recent Investor Day event caused quite a commotion, and it is possible that this announcement will have an impact on the whole electric vehicle (EV) sector. The automobile manufacturer disclosed its intention to stay away with the use of rare earth elements in the electric motors it manufactures.
On social media, as is the case with any topic pertaining to Tesla, a significant number of individuals are discussing the most recent achievement in the field of electric vehicle development. In the r/Futurology topic, a user of Reddit submitted a link to an article written by InsideEVs with the caption, “Tesla’s Next-Gen Electric Motors Will Get Rid Of Rare Earth Elements.”
There are almost 600 comments on the page, with some people being very optimistic and others expressing significant skepticism.
The ground-breaking electric motor might represent a significant advancement for the EV industry as a whole. Automobile manufacturers would like to steer clear of elements made of rare earth since, as implied by their name, these components are uncommon and hence expensive due to their scarcity.
