Elon Musk Just EXPOSED This World’s First Carbon-Neutral Spaceship!

These days almost everybody wishes to go to space, but there doesn’t seem to be as much consideration about the environmental impact of those journeys with all the rush to get off the Earth. The space tourism race is now firing on all rockets, but one company is hoping to carve out a niche as “the only carbon-neutral, zero-emission way” to travel to the edge of space. Space Perspective is a Florida-based Space tourism company that has revealed a redesign of its travel capsule and promised its passengers a smoother and safer journey to the edge of the stratosphere.

According to Musk, space perspective plans to take passengers in a pressured capsule that is suspended from a giant high-tech version of a hot-air balloon up to 100,000 feet for suborbital adventures.
Space Perspective worked on this fresh design with London-based industrial design studio ‘Of My Imagination’ to improve its Spaceship Neptune, which is going to use a giant hydrogen-filled balloon to fly tourists to space. The state-of-the-art spacecraft which is now in production is designed to give passengers plenty of room to move around while enjoying the 360-degree panoramic views. Spaceship Neptune is now made in a spherical shape to improve comfort and safety. The company promises that the experience will be “safer, more comfortable, and even more thrilling” as compared to its prior capsule model.
Founder, co-CEO, and CTO of the company, Taber MacCallum said that the whole team has come together to create an extremely strong, safe, incredibly elegant, and luxurious system for Spaceship Neptune, Musk stated. Spaceship Neptune consists of a climate-controlled, pressurized passenger capsule that is lifted into space by a gigantic, high-performing hydrogen balloon.
Space Perspective worked with the Priestman Goode design studio on the concept design and this design was revealed in 2020. ‘Of My Imagination ‘, which is a studio established by ex-Priestman Goode designers, Dan Window and Isabella Trani, has ever since been working with the company to develop the production version.
The spherical cabin makes more headroom for passengers. The latest version of the design comprises a more spherical vessel that offers greater headroom for passengers but also due to its increased pressure resistance it provides extra safety benefits. According to Space Perspective, the vessel allows a more comfortable indoor climate that will surely attract more tourists. It is because of a patent-pending thermal control system and reflective coatings that are applied to the exterior and windows, which helps in reducing solar gain.
The company has also incorporated an improved splash cone in the design to create a gentler and safer landing because the capsule descends into the ocean. It is an approach that NASA proposes as being the lowest risk, Musk explained.
