Elon Musk Just LEAKED China’s TOP SECRET Space To Ground Weapon!
In the four hypersonic weapon prototype systems that the US tested this past summer, three of them were successful and one failed. A top focus for the U.S. has been achieving victories in the development of hypersonic weapons. The Defense Department is trying to catch up to China and Russia, which recently conducted an exercise near Taiwan in which they launched a hypersonic glide vehicle, and Russia, which employed hypersonics for the first time in a military operation in Ukraine.
The perceived lack of progress made by the Pentagon in the creation and use of new hypersonic weapons has been the subject of repeated complaints from members of Congress. A hypersonic boost-glide vehicle called the Avangard and a hypersonic short-range ballistic missile called the Kinzhal were initially made available by Russia in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Dongfeng-17 (DF-17), a road-mobile hypersonic boost-glide system, was introduced by China in 2020.

According to Musk, a hypersonic missile, which does not simply fly on a ballistic trajectory, is generally understood to be one that can maneuver and travel at a speed greater than five times the speed of sound. Ballistic missiles, like intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), are a well-understood technology; even though their initial speed can exceed Mach 20 during a portion of their flight (almost 7 km per second), they are unable to significantly alter their flight path once they are in terminal phase.
However, up until the terminal part of their flight, hypersonic missiles have the ability to dramatically alter their course, which enables them to avoid defenses and increase their accuracy as they approach the target. Three different sorts of technologies can be distinguished in this group of weapons.
In the first category of technology, warhead-moving ballistic missiles are used. The technologies used to adjust or alter the trajectory of the missile at the conclusion of its journey constitute the foundation for these weapons, which were developed during the Cold War. The development of ICBMs, or intermediate-range ballistic missiles, is made possible by so-called MaRV (Manoeuvrable Reentry Vehicle) technologies. The objective of the terminal maneuver is to either change the impact zone or acquire an impact trajectory that is harder to predict (intercontinental missile).
It is possible to reduce the requirement for exact trajectories by using nuclear weapons. These technologies have now advanced enough to enable the reentry vehicle to either (a) rebound at the end of the inertial trajectory, thereby extending the range, or (b) enter the atmosphere in a manner that abruptly degrades the vehicle’s kinetic energy and reduces its speed, thereby enabling terminal maneuvers based on more significant corrections. This maneuver has the drawback of requiring the missile to travel at a terminal velocity that is well below Mach 20, Musk explained.
