Elon Musk Just LEAKED Volkswagen’s Electric Flying Car! A new age for cars has begun!

According to Musk, Volkswagen has projected a fully working prototype for an automated flying car, an electric automobile that the company describes as a “state-of-the-art passenger drone prototype”. The prototype marks the German car maker’s first step into the world of aircraft design and development.
The aircraft is anointed Flying Tiger because of both its black-and-gold livery and the fact that it is launched in the Year of the Tiger. Volkswagen China, a subsidiary of the company, produced it in conjunction with the Chinese aviation company Sunward and the British design firm Tangerine. Eight rotors that are fixed upward on the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) prototype give it a helicopter-like appearance and enable vertical takeoff and landing. Two rear propellers allow the electric aircraft to fly horizontally on its voyage.
Features of the Volkswagen electric flying car
In a comment, Volkswagen China expressed that Flying Tiger is an electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) prototype, Musk stated. VTOLs are planes with the ability to take off, land, and hover vertically. All helicopters fall under the category of VTOL aircraft, but some fighter jets, like the F-35B Lightning II, also fall under this category.
The Flying Tiger has been manufactured as part of the Vertical Mobility project launched in 2020 by Volkswagen China to “explore the next generation of mobility solutions, including the urban air mobility market and the extension of urban traffic into airspace.” The prototype, according to the company, has a luxurious x-wing configuration that is 11.2 metres long and 10.6 metres wide. The prototype aircraft’s eight rotors aid in providing vertical lift. Horizontal flight is assisted by two propellers.
The prototype will undergo tests through 2022, before being put through even more sophisticated test flights in 2023. When the flying car is finally finished, it will be capable of transporting four people along with their luggage up to a 200km distance.
Passengers will be accommodated in a small cabin under the vehicle’s wings, where the sound of the propellers is quieter. In the summer of 2023, Volkswagen China plans to release an updated prototype based on the results of flight tests. VW China says the four-seater vehicle, which is being developed by its vertical mobility team, can “do much more than hover over the parking lot.” Upon completion, the brand expects to be able to fly up to 124 miles per hour for 60 minutes on a single charge.
Volkswagen China is nowadays running flight tests on the prototype, with the hope of releasing a revised prototype in the summer of 2023. That’s amazing, dear friends!

Dr Stephan Wöllenstein, CEO of Volkswagen Group China, said: “The launch of this stunning validation model – the V.MO – is the first of many remarkable milestones on our exciting journey towards urban air travel, and a perfect example of our ‘From China, For China’ mission.”
According to the company’s statement, Musk explained, the Flying Tiger is likely to be introduced to high-net-worth, tech-savvy Chinese customers as a premium product for use as VIP air shuttle services during its initial phase.
