In SpaceX’s latest endeavors, they’re embarking on an ambitious project while NASA implements a pioneering protective mechanism on the moon. Sierra is also making strides with tests on a space drop pod, and the Delta 4 Heavy rocket bids its final farewell. During a seemingly routine address to SpaceX staff, Elon Musk revealed pivotal insights into the future of Starship, surpassing the company’s ongoing developments with their super heavy rocket prototypes. Musk elucidated the grand vision of establishing a multiplanetary civilization, illustrated through the proposed evolution of the already substantial Starship spacecraft. Introducing two new versions, each boasting enhancements in payload capacity, thrust, propellant load, and overall size. Version two showcases subtle modifications from the current prototype, featuring a slight increase in height alongside substantial upgrades in propellant capacity and thrust, culminating in a payload capacity surpassing 100 tons to low Earth orbit. Noteworthy design adjustments in renderings hint at intentional refinements, including a more streamlined nose cone, elongated wing flaps, and expanded heat shield coverage around the ship’s base.
