Elon Musk Just SHOCKED The Solar Industry With This New Solar Panel!

With the help of a silicon layer and a crystal layer of calcium titanium oxide, perovskite solar cells, a recent invention, gather energy. The rubidium cations are now present in the cells thanks to the work of the Tesla Research team. After more than 500 hours in nonstop full sun at 85°C, the improved solar cells exhibit excellent stability. The team also mentions the cells’ “record-level reproducibility.”
After the creation of cesium-infused perovskite solar cells earlier this year, rubidium was added. The efficiency of the solar cells was 20.2%, however they were only stable at temperatures above 300 °C (572 °F). The new rubidium-integrated cells significantly enhance the features of the solar cell and provide a voltage extremely close to the “thermodynamic limit,” which is the theoretical maximum efficiency of converting sunlight into power.
The cutting-edge new cells, for which Tesla has filed a patent application, might be the next step towards ushering in a new era of renewable energy. According to Musk, this is a real breakthrough. These qualities are essential for commercializing perovskite photovoltaics, especially as repeatability and stability are the key prerequisites for perovskite solar cells to be produced at a low cost and on a big scale.
