Elon Musk Just WARNS Us This Is Coming In 2024!
Where does Elon Musk stand on climate change? While the tech billionaire has long supported combating global warming, his views on reversing the trend have fluctuated. According to Musk in 2018, “Climate change is the biggest threat that humanity faces this century, except for AI.” And recently, there’s a new spike in the global temperatures in the forecast. And again, Elon Musk warns us once again; thus, in today’s episode, let’s find out how severe this is and what to expect from this extreme temperature change.

Musk’s activities as an entrepreneur show a deep dedication to sustainability.
Musk was appointed CEO of Tesla in 2008, and the company is currently the world’s largest maker of electric vehicles. Furthermore, Tesla paid $2.6 billion for SolarCity, a company founded by Musk’s cousins. SolarCity was reformed as Tesla Energy, a sustainable energy subsidiary of Tesla, Inc.
When asked, what prompted him to invest in Tesla?
“The fundamental intention of Tesla, at least my motivation, was to accelerate the advent of sustainable energy,” he explained. “That’s why I open-sourced the patents; it’s the only way to improve the transition to sustainable energy.”
To combat global warming, Musk has constantly provided funding.
The XPrize Carbon Removal Program, which is supporting a competition between teams throughout the world to remove carbon emissions, is supported by the Musk Foundation. The reward is described as the largest incentive prize in history on the website, which also states that the objective is to combat climate change and restore the Earth’s carbon cycle.
Whatever it takes, Musk emphasized that time was of the essence as he urged teams to create practical systems that might have a gigaton-scale impact.
Musk on the dangers of global warming
Regarding the dangers that climate change poses to humanity, Musk has issued numerous warnings. At Paris-Sorbonne University in 2015, he delivered a memorable address on the topic.
The best case scenario, according to him, is merely delaying the inevitable switch to sustainable energy if we wait and postpone the transformation (away from fossil fuels), he said. These are the best and worst-case possibilities, respectively, and this is why I call it the dumbest experiment in history: it would result in more displacement and destruction than all previous conflicts combined.
He speculated that 5 to 10% of the territory on Earth might be submerged by water, coming to the frightening conclusion that “we would be talking about maybe two billion people being displaced and their homes being destroyed and their countries being gone. So I think we should take action.”
In order to change the trajectory, Musk stated that he believed the government needed to be involved.
Musk stated that the government “needs to send a clear message in this regard.” “The basic issue is that today’s regulations encourage people to produce carbon, which is insane because anything you incentivize will happen, which explains why we have so far seen so little change.
“The government is the setter of rules, the government decides what rules the companies play by. And if we currently have a system that massively incentivizes bad behavior.”
