Elon Musk REVEALS Final Plans For $25k Tesla Car!

A $25,000 compact EV will be produced by Tesla’s third-generation car architecture. Not only was the low-cost EV first touted as the flagship model of the Giga Mexico, but it was also recently reported to be going into production in Germany and India. Germany may not be the best location to produce a compact EV at a reasonable cost, even though Europe is the appropriate market for one.
From the publication of the first Master Plan in 2006, Tesla and Elon Musk have been cozying up to the idea of an inexpensive EV. At some point in the post-pandemic years, the ultimate goal of Tesla must have been forgotten, because the company’s primary mission is to build more affordable electric automobiles. With the economy thawing and the supply chain breaking under pressure, prices surged.
While Tesla was more fortunate than other automakers due to its vertical integration approach, all automakers were impacted. On the other hand, automobile prices skyrocketed in 2020 due to industry-wide production hiccups and the vast sums of money that prospective buyers accumulated. While automakers were struggling to keep the production lines running, everyone wanted to own a car. The extended wait periods encouraged consumers to pay significantly more than the MSRP in order to receive their autos.
In 2021 and 2022, Tesla made considerable price increases in line with the rest of the market. Recurring price increases that began in February 2021 led to the Model Y LR AWD’s pricing reaching $65,990 last summer. The identical model had a consistent price of $49,990 for the most of 2020 prior to that. Even your most costly models are flying off the shelves like hot toast, and you aren’t making enough to meet demand, so it’s easy to forget that your goal is to make a cheap EV.
During that period, Elon Musk discussed issues related to production, given the nearly limitless demand. It was also during this time that the CEO of Tesla scrapped the plans for the vehicle that came to be known as “the $25,000 EV.” Since then, there has been a dramatic shift in the market as the supply chains were reconstructed and the automotive market went from being low-production, high-demand to the exact reverse. Tesla started lowering the cost of its cars at that same time.
Tesla devotees, clients, and rival businesses will never forget the evening of January 12, 2023. Tesla revealed some of the largest price reductions in the automobile industry’s history. The price of the same Model Y LR AWD was reduced by 20% to just $52,990 from $65,990. Despite some upward adjustments in the upcoming months, Tesla persisted in its cost-cutting efforts. While Tesla’s delivery figures have essentially stabilized, the identical model is now available for $48,990. That indicates with certainty that prices may drop even further as Tesla looks to increase sales.
Elon Musk officially announced this during the March 1 Investor Day, bringing the $25,000 EV ideas back on the table.
