Elon Musk Says Project Kuiper Is NO MATCH With Starlink!
Amazon has officially joined the race to build huge networks of satellites that can connect everyone on Earth to the internet. This puts the tech company in direct competition with SpaceX and its Starlink system. However, will Project Kuiper be a worthy competitor for Starlink? And how do they compare? Let’s find out in today’s episode! So, stay tuned!Hello everyone! Welcome back to Elon Musk Evolution, where we bring you the most recent news about Elon Musk and his multi billion-dollar companies, space news and the latest science and technology.

A United Launch Alliance rocket took off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 2:06 p.m. ET Friday carrying the first two test satellites for Amazon’s network. The project is called Project Kuiper.
In a statement, Rajeev Badyal, Vice President of Technology for Project Kuiper, said, “We’ve done a lot of testing here in our lab and have a lot of faith in our satellite design, but there’s no replacement for testing in space.” “This is Amazon’s first time sending a satellite into space, and no matter what happens, we’ll learn a huge amount.”
After the first stage of United Launch Alliance’s rocket finished firing its engines, the video of the launch ended. This is the part of the rocket that gives the first boost at liftoff. The company did say in a news release that the satellites were “precisely” delivered and that the flight was a success. Amazon couldn’t confirm right away that it had made contact with the satellites.
If the mission is successful, Amazon might be able to start sending hundreds more of the satellites into space. Eventually, they will build a network of more than 3,200 satellites that will work together to connect people on Earth to the internet.
In the same way, Starlink, the SpaceX system that has been growing quickly since 2019, manages its operations. More than 4,500 active Starlink satellites are already in space from SpaceX. These satellites provide business and residential service to most of the Americas, Europe, and Australia.
There is a change going on in the space business right now. Up until not too long ago, most space-based phone services were given by big,
expensive satellites in geosynchronous orbit, which is thousands of miles from Earth. The problem with this space-based internet plan was that the satellites were so far away that they caused annoying lag times. Now, businesses like Amazon, SpaceX, and OneWeb want to bring things closer to home.
The satellite business has always dreamed of bringing fast internet from space straight to people, even before those companies started to build their services. In the 1990s, there were a number of these kinds of attempts that either failed or caused business owners to change their plans when the costs became too high for the benefits.”Megaconstellations” have formed in low-Earth orbit (LEO), which is less than 600 miles (1,000 km) above Earth. This is because cheaper satellites and lower launch costs have made LEO possible. Satellites in geostationary orbit stay in one place over the same part of the Earth and provide continuous service to that area. Satellites in low Earth orbit, on the other hand, move very quickly through space. Because of this, thousands of satellites need to work together for this method to connect the whole world.
