THE FALL OF Elon Musk! China DESTROYS SpaceX
Tech Mogul and billionaire CEO Elon Musk has recently faced criticism that his satellites launched by the Starlink program is hogging the space. However, Musk has straightforwardly denied these accusations and said that tens of billions of satellites can be accommodated in the orbits around earth.
So, is SpaceX really trying to take over space gradually? Let’s find out!
Hey guys! Welcome back to our channel Elon Musk Evolution where we tell you all the latest news about Elon Musk and his multibillion companies. In today’s video we are going to talk about the recent accusations faced by Elon Musk by the European Space agency according to which, he is making all the space rules himself and the other space agencies cannot accept that. Elon Musk is being criticized by the European space agency who said that Mr. Musk has been making all the rules for the emerging commercial space industry as his Starlink’s mega constellation project is taking a lot of room in space. However, Musk stated in an interview:
“Space is just extremely enormous, and satellites are very tiny,”
By this he meant that there is a lot of room for everyone in space. These claims have surfaced everywhere, after China complained to the ESA that its space station was forced to take evasive action in order to avoid collisions with SpaceX’s satellites. Beijing has claimed that China has experienced two close encounters with the Starlink’s satellites this year, therefore Musk made headlines this week as he faced a social media backlash from Chinese web users. According to some, Starlink satellites are just a piece of Space Junk.
Another user posted:
“the risks of Starlink project are being gradually exposed. The whole human race will pay for their business activities”
With over 30 successful missions and more than 1700 active satellites, SpaceX is planning to manufacture its next generation gen 2 Starlink satellites, as the company is aiming at creating a mega constellation network in space up to 42,000 satellites. Starlink is designed to provide high speed internet coverage to users around the world, particularly those living in rural or remote areas which do not have access to traditional internet connection. The development of this mega project started in the year 2015 and the first prototype satellites were launched into space 2018.
SpaceX officially initiated its mission in January 2021, when it launched 60 satellites into orbit from Kennedy space center using the reusable falcon 9 orbital rocket. As of early October, SpaceX has launched more than 700 satellites into orbit, with a plan to release a total of 12,000 over the next five years, half of them by the end of 2024. And Musk wants to add another 30,000 to that. All of these satellites will also be much closer, anywhere from 200 to 400 miles above the planet in low-Earth orbit.
SpaceX has also shown signs that it wants as many as 42000 satellites in the constellation and those shadow lights can connect our home to the internet, just like existing satellite internet providers, Starlink hardware includes a satellite dish and a router which you’ll set up at home to receive signals from space.
