This Is How Elon Musk Will DOMINATE The Air Taxi World With The NEW eVTOL Electric Plane!

eVOTLS are becoming a popular concept and different companies are testing out their single passenger flying cars for standard-issue use. This is something NASA is also looking into and if NASA is interested in this project, then Elon Musk is definitely going to follow up.

eVOTL is a completely new concept in this era of super cars, rockets, and Jets. Initially, eVOTLs are considered to be flying cars but they are somewhat different in terms of design and mobility. Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has always proved to the world that nothing is impossible for him, and he did so by bringing first ever electric car to the road, landing rockets on the moon, digging tunnels inside the earth, and now making eVOTLS.

Building a flying electric car has been an ambition of Musk for quite a long time and recently he revealed more details about it. Elon Musk has come with a new and unique idea for his electric car and it is something similar to his idea of an electric aircraft. Musk has told over and over that his idea for the plane would be VTOL or simply an aircraft which can take off and land vertically. Musk said:

“the exciting thing to do would be a vertical takeoff and landing supersonic jet of some kind,”

Furthermore, he also confirmed that he is planning to build a supersonic jet. However, there are quite a few hurdles in the way. Musk has stated that the ability they have for a Tesla plane is not just an economical problem but a barrier of efficiency and resources and he has similar thoughts about creating an eVOTL flying car.

“It’s an entirely different regulatory regime, and like there’s there aren’t any car companies that are also aircraft companies. I think its incredibly hard to bring an aircraft to production and meet all of the regulatory requirements worldwide where it’s a very difficult thing…” Musk stated.
We know that Tesla is already thinking about the feasibility of building an electric plane so, what is the need of this flying car? And will this electric flying taxi be better than a conventional plane? We are going to discuss that next so make sure to stick with us until the end of the video.
Elon Musk has a brilliant mind and this time he wants to connect all of his aviation projects with a vertical take off. While some of you may think that musk’s idea of vertical takeoff and landing is not possible, it may actually be possible.

First of all, upward thrust could be divided using multiple propellers which will also counter noise pollution. This is practically possible because an estimated power required for an eVOTL to take off would be 400 watt hours per kilogram and Tesla is already working on improving its battery. Elon Musk stated:

“There are batteries in limited production right now that do exceed 400-watt hours per kilogram, which I think is about the number you need for decent range, medium-range aircraft. And I think our batteries will, over time, start to approach the 400 watt-hours per kilogram range as well.”
