Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is on his mission to build factories around the world to complement its Fremont, California, electric vehicle plant where the company started. The auto maker has spent over 1 billion dollars in the past quarter on his factories in Austin, Texas, Brandenburg and Germany and he commented after its Wednesday third quarter earnings that he is amazed by the progress in Shanghai, China Gigafactory.
Tesla thinks it can reach 20 million vehicles by 2030.

Tesla is aiming at building factories around the world as a part of its plan to increase production of its vehicles massively and transform energy usage. All of the factories that Elon Musk has established till today are giving a tough competition to the rest of the auto makers and there are more factories planned by him in the future.
Tesla is building more factories across the globe for two major reasons. The very first reason is to simplify the production process. Musk talked about this in February 2020, when he explained that a factory in each continent of the world would mean that the cars could reach the customers faster as there will be less distance to travel, and each facility would focus on meeting the legal criteria for fewer territories. The second reason is to reach the terra-watt hour battery production levels that Musk said in July 2019 will help make a huge shift in world’s energy usage.
Now Musk has really good plans for the future, but as he is always greatly concerned for environment and pollution so, how will these factories cope with pollution?
According to Tesla’s impact report in 2019, factory waste in an important part of lifecycle emissions but they will be relatively minor. In addition, a report from international council on clean transportation in 2018 concluded that an average electric car is 30 percent than an internal combustion vehicle over its lifetime. So, it makes it very much clear that Tesla’s goal of reaching 100 percent renewable energy across its operations could make a big difference towards the environmental question of owning an electric car.
In one of his interviews about growth of tesla CEO Elon Musk said that demand for new tesla is “the best we’ve ever seen” as the demand grows companies needs more space for the production purpose. The launch of tesla’s new giga factory in Texas will revolutionize the market and it has been expected that the coming years will be immensely eventful for tesla, as with their new cyber trucks and tesla semi coming up, they need a huge space to keep up.
